Our Curriculum

Meadow is a nature-based preschool that uses the outdoors, nature, and natural materials as a regular focus in most activities.  We believe children learn best through play, therefore we plan flexible and developmentally appropriate curriculum based on children’s own interests, discoveries, and observations. We seek to develop the “whole” child through meaningful learning opportunities, which could include: art, music, science exploration, gardening, cooking, sewing, woodworking, dramatic play, literature, pre-writing & math, building, constructing, and large & small muscle group activities.  In addition we practice and teach environmentally responsible behavior whenever possible.  We appreciate family involvement and offer ample opportunities for volunteering in the classroom.

Also throughout the year Meadow provides enrichment type classes within our curriculum that can include interesting activities like: karate, yoga, sustainable agriculture, and visiting musicians.
